SEA & SLOT SCHOOL · LESSON

Credits, Denominations, and the Real Cost

Credits are excellent actors. They can make a large number look like pocket change and a fast session look like a harmless walk around the room. The denomination is the part that tells the truth. Before you press anything, convert the screen back into dollars and let the dollar figure have a seat at the table.

The lesson in plain English

Record the denomination, total wager, number of lines or ways, and any multiplier. Calculate the cost of a minute at the pace you intend to play. If the number does not fit the session budget, lower the exposure or choose another activity. The machine does not know whether the money was for dinner.

Deck note

A clear price does not remove risk. It gives risk a name.
