Never substitute coin-in for cash spent. Keep recorded figures, modeled figures, retail value, and cash result separate.

TRY THIS IN EASY SEAS

Your next three steps

  1. Choose a completed cruise with documented inputs.
  2. Identify the metric’s exact label and whether it is a multiple or percentage.
  3. Use the example calculator below, then inspect the real record’s evidence.
Open the app ↗

Your account may need sign-in first. The screenshot above is the matching tab view used for this lesson; the records and counts shown are illustrative visual evidence and can differ with your account.

WORKED EXAMPLE · EDIT THE INPUTS

Let Scooter walk you through the math.

Illustrative numbers only. The $5 conversion models Club Royale slot points in the app; it is not a universal provider rate. House edge is an assumption. Nothing here connects to your account or predicts an outcome.

Modeled coin-in

$5,000.00

Points × $5

Theoretical loss

$500.00

Modeled coin-in × assumed edge

Cruise value captured

$1,500.00

Retail − paid

Cash result

-$300.00

Winnings home − paid

Total economic value

$1,700.00

Retail + winnings home − paid

Cash ROI

-0.60×

Cash result ÷ paid

Cruise value multiple

4.00×

Retail ÷ paid

Value per hour

$340.00

Economic value ÷ hours

Retail value is a non-cash valuation. Cash ROI here uses the Casino portfolio definition. Check the exact meaning of “paid” on your real cruise record; different screens use different value ratios.

THE COMPLETE LESSON REFERENCE

Every control in this lesson

Coin-in
Total wagering volume, including re-bet credits. In the Club Royale slot-points model: points × $5. Use provider-recorded coin-in when available.
Points estimate
The modeled conversion is floor(coin-in ÷ $5). This app constant is not a universal rate for all providers or games.
Theoretical loss
Coin-in × house edge expressed as a decimal. It is a model, not your observed loss.
Point value
Points earned × configured dollar value per point. This valuation is an assumption, not cash in hand.
Net theoretical
Modeled point value − theoretical loss in the cruise economics summary.
Cruise value captured
Retail value − net effective paid.
Cash result
Winnings brought home − net effective paid in the cruise economics summary. Check what the paid field includes before interpreting it.
Total economic value
Retail value + winnings brought home − net effective paid. Includes non-cash retail value.
Cash ROI
Cash result ÷ amount paid, displayed as a multiple in Casino. Net ROI on paid multiplies that ratio by 100 for a percentage.
Cruise value multiple
Retail value ÷ amount paid.
Comp coverage
Cruise value captured ÷ retail value; multiply by 100 for percent.
Winnings multiple
Winnings brought home ÷ amount paid.
Value per hour
Total economic value ÷ recorded hours.
Coin-in per hour
Coin-in ÷ hours played.
Estimated historical hours
Points ÷ assumed points per hour. The historical generator defaults to 400 points/hour; generated sessions remain estimates.
Zero denominator
Several app formulas return 0 when paid amount or hours are zero. Read this as a guarded calculation, not evidence of zero risk.
Other ROI screens
The legacy value formula is (retail value + winnings) ÷ out-of-pocket spend × 100. It is a gross value ratio; it differs from Casino cash ROI.
