Cruising 4 Comps

A STORY FROM THE WAKE

Stardust Moments

A stardust moment rarely arrives wearing a name tag. It may be a balcony catching the first pink light, a stranger who tells the truth over lunch, or a song that reaches the deck precisely when everybody needed permission to move. We tend to notice the big events because they are easy to label. The small ones require attention.

The story itself

I keep a record of those moments because they are the part of travel that cannot be purchased separately. A ship can carry you to a port. It cannot make you look up. That remains your responsibility, and it is one of the better responsibilities a person can have.

Closing

Keep your eyes open. The voyage is always leaving clues.

There is another deck with your name on it.
