Measure what the system was meant to serve

After all these lessons, what counts as success?

The sources keep returning to choice. Money, attention and travel arrangements are supposed to serve a life, not require that life to serve another session. A worthwhile result might be an affordable voyage, a protected boundary, a better understanding of an offer or choosing not to play. None of those requires a winning photograph or a new casino status.

Is a smaller casino role a failure of the method?

It can be a sensible response to what you have learned. Scott’s later chapters explore the person and relationships beyond the reward system. If you can enjoy the ship, keep your work dependable, spend time with people and decide freely whether the casino belongs in the day, the casino does not need to grow to prove the voyage mattered.

Carry the useful habits elsewhere

Which habits remain useful after I leave the room?

Knowing what a number means. Reading conditions before accepting an invitation. Distinguishing evidence from an attractive story. Giving spending a boundary and reviewing the complete result. Those habits help you judge a travel decision even when there is no wager involved. They are practical tools, not a promise that every person can gamble safely by following a checklist.

What does the complete handbook add?

The full source develops the framework in context and includes machine-specific material deliberately kept outside these introductory pages. That material should be presented as the book’s detailed reference section, not as a collection of guaranteed winning secrets. Smooth Sailings supplies the longer personal journey, its competing demands and the reflections that short web lessons can only introduce.

Finish with the ability to choose

There is no required next wager. You can revisit an explanation, read the complete books or return to the life and travel that brought you here. Choosing never to begin gambling is also a complete choice. The school should end with clarity about what the sources teach and honest limits on what a method can promise.
