LIFE AT SEA · DECK LOG

Build a Sea-Day Routine

A sea day has nowhere to be and therefore has the potential to become every errand you never finished. The secret is a little structure. Coffee, a walk, a page, a meal, a conversation, a rest. Leave gaps so the day can surprise you without becoming a negotiation.

The practical question

Choose two or three anchors rather than scheduling every hour. Balance movement, food, learning, entertainment, and sleep. Use the ship’s calendar as an invitation, not a command. A good routine should make you feel more available to the day.

Deck note

Freedom is easier to recognize when it has a few dependable landmarks.
